Responsibilities
As an Associate Regional Director, I am an ambassador of Tau Kappa Epsilon and the Offices of the Grand Chapter. I promote leadership in, and on behalf of, assigned collegiate chapters, colonies, and interest groups. I am a leader in growing healthier groups by allowing them to fully realize their potential. In addition, I will provide value based programming to the chapters, colonies, and interest groups within my region and educate members in the areas of leadership development, academic achievement, volunteerism, business principles, personal life skills, and risk management issues.
About Me
I was born in Columbus, Ohio, at the medical center at The Ohio State University. Raised a Buckeye, my mother is an OSU Greek alumnae and current faculty member of the university. It was an easy decision to attend OSU. I earned a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with minors in business and entrepreneurship. I joined the TKE Professional Staff in June of 2009, and I am a proud Life Loyal Teke.
I joined TKE at The Ohio State University in the fall of 2004, where I served as service chairman, Hegemon, and Prytanis. I also spent one year as president of the Interfraternity Council. During my time as a member, the Omicron chapter grew from 50 to more than 80 members. It was recognized by the university three years in a row with the "Challenging the Process" award. In addition, I was selected as one of 24 members into the SPHINX Senior Class Honorary Society, and was also recognized with the Outstanding Senior Award, which is given to less than 1% of graduating seniors.
What I Like To Do in My Free Time
I love being outdoors, hiking, and boating. I spent five summers teaching canoeing lessons at an overnight camp, and I really enjoyed combining teaching with having fun. I enjoy solving problems, being creative, and, of course, following Buckeye football.
